Dallas County District Courts
In 2014, the Commissioners Court of Dallas County authorized a significant upgrade to the audio visual equipment installed in the George Allen Courthouse. The equipment and technology is designed to facilitate the presentation of testimony, evidence and argument while simultaneously leveling the playing field between litigants. The system was designed and installed by a company named Visionality. Austin Jones worked with Judge Martin Hoffman, Crystal Jamison and Visionality to develop a presentation that would provide attorneys, witnesses, vendors, litigation support departments and presiding judges with the information necessary to operate the courtroom equipment. A PDF copy of the presentation can be downloaded below and will be updated as the system is further refined.
Although the presentation has been given a number of times since the system upgrade, Austin and Crystal remain committed to encouraging and facilitating the use of technology in the courtroom and may be willing to speak and deliver the full presentation which has previously been approved for CLE credit.
